Organic Ginger & Turmeric Tea

Creator: I Am Zuri

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Serving: 4 servings

Ingredients:

1 thumb-sized piece of organic raw ginger

1 thumb-sized piece of organic raw turmeric

Dash of organic black ground pepper

Instructions:

Grate ginger and turmeric with a cheese grater. Place items in a large pot of 180 degree water. Let steep for 10-15 minutes. Sprinkle a small dash of organic ground black pepper in your cup. Drink and enjoy.

Optional: Add a teaspoon (or more) of raw organic honey and organic ground cinnamon if you like a sweet tea.

Tips:

  • Be sure to use fresh ginger and turmeric to really make the best tea.
  • Save the remaining for later and heat as needed.
  • I also save the brewed ginger and turmeric and use them for sauces or soups later. They still contain a lot of nutrients that you don’t have to throw away.
  • To keep ginger and turmeric on hand during the off season, simply put in a freezer friendly container and toss in the freezer. They hold up really well when frozen.
